Americana Chicken |
INGREDIENTS
1 chicken, 3 pounds, cut-up
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup chopped red onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
2 cloves garlic, minced
Dash salt
Dash pepper
1/2 cup Water
2 ts double cream
METHOD
1. Rinse chicken pieces with cool water. Pat dry with paper towels.
2. In a large skillet, heat the oil.
3. Brown chicken pieces on all sides.
4. Sprinkle chopped onion, celery, garlic, salt,water,double cream and pepper over chicken.
5. Cover. Simmer for 30 minutes or until chicken is done to your liking. Juices should run clear when pierced with a fork.
6. Serve hot with extra celery sprinkled over the top.
